COX, William and Family: Arrival in Queensland, Australia William and his family arrived in Moreton Bay aboard the "Shackamaxon" on 25 November 1859. They, and their fellow travellers, were immediately transferred to the steamer, "Breadalbane" for the short voyage to Brisbane, arriving the following day. This article, marking the arrival of the immigrants, was published in the "Local Intelligence" column, page 2, of The Moreton Bay Courier, on 26 November 1859. |
