| Documents | Australian Convict Muster - 1825 (Extract) On this muster appear Anthony Hordern and his family. Although difficult to read, the colume headings appear to be: Name; Age; Class; Vessel; Yr of Arrival; Sentence; Employment. In the case of Anthony, it would appear that he arrived in 1825 aboard the 'Phoenix', that his sentence was 7 years and his employment was 'Coach Maker'. This agrees with the biographical account in the Australian Dictionary of Biographies (see 'Owner/Source', below) Also on this document are sons, Anthony and John, daughter Elizabeth and wife Ann (nee Woodhead). |
