- Wilhelmina sailed aboard the SS Canada arriving in Portland, Maine on 11 March 1910 for onward travel to Halifax, Nova Scotia. She gave her occupation as a "Domestic", aged 19, from 21, Stewart Street, Edinburgh. It appears that she was part of a group of 41 women travelling under the group name of "Mrs Francis' Party". All were Domestics.

Notes |
- Prior to her divorce in 1928, Wilhelmina made at least 2 trips to the US, one in November 1925 and a second in August 1926. There may be others because "The Lethbridge Herald" ran this story on 9 January 1925:
"A recent message from Mrs Gilbert Maggs announces that that lady feels much improved by the salubrious climate of Portland, Oregon, and has not been a patient at the sanatorium as was at first the impression, but is sojourning at the home of a friend in that city."

- A Decree Nisi was granted to the plaintiff, Gilbert Maggs, to be made absolute in 3 months. The decree was reported in "The Lethbridge Herald" on Wednesday, February 22, 1928. Following the divorce of Wilhelmina and Gilbert Maggs, it would seem that Wilhelmina may have reverted to her maiden name of 'Aitken' or 'Aiken' for at least part of the time.
