    • St Michael's Cathedral is now fondly known as "The Old Cathedral". Having stood in Coventry for nealy 700 years, all that remains today are the ruins following the most prolonged and devastating attack on any city in the history of warfare, to date. The Coventry Blitz, which lasted for nine hours, took place on 14 November 1940.
