Within this sarcophagus are the remains of 2 generations of Pearces from Randwick, both of whom were connected to the church either as Sexton, Parish Clerks, sometimes both.
From the bottom up, the brass plaques read as follows:
"Sacred to the memory of James Pearce late Clerk of the Parish who departed this life 12 May 1858 aged 61.
Also of Elizabeth his wife who departed this life May 28 1860 aged 65 years"
"In affectionate remembrance of John Pearce, thier son for many years Clerk of this Parish. he departed this life July 16 1870 aged 43"
"Sacred to the memory of Harriet, wife of the above named John Pearce. Died 4 April 1872 aged 42"
