Media Notes | This memorial was raised to honour the fallen of WW1 and WW2. The inscription of the plaque attached to one face states: "In proud and loving memory of the men of this parish who gave their lives for their country in the Great War 1914 - 1919. "Their name liveth for evermore" (Ecclesiasticus) "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." (St. John) " I saw them that had gotten the victory over the beast . . . . . stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God." (Revelations) Listed on this memorial is Albert Edward Bricknell. |
