CWGC Commemoration: BOTTOMLEY, Herbert (Pte) (1945)

Although commemorated on the CWGC website, it appears that Herbert was killed by a "hit and run" driver some 4 months after the official surrender of Germany which marked the end of the war in Europe.

Clichy Northern Cemetery, Clichy, Paris, France

Notes: Clichy is a town adjoining the northern boundary of Paris. The Cemetery lies between the Town Hall and the River Seine and is entered from the Rue General Rouget. The Commonwealth War Graves Plot is in the southern quarter of the Cemetery under the south boundary wall.
There are now over 200, 1939-45 war casualties commemorated in this site.
